The art of mindfulness is learning how to focus our awareness on the present moment, and to acknowledge and accept thoughts, feelings, behaviours and bodily sensations as they occur, without the need to control or manipulate them. This helps with concentration and with overall quality of life. We encourage you to practice mindfulness each day, and this will help you have greater success as you learn and implement other DBT skills.
